Wike: Nigerians Will  Praise  Tinubu’s Leadership by Term’s End

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has voiced optimism that Nigerians will commend President Bola Tinubu’s administration by the end of his first term. Speaking at the inauguration of a new road project connecting Life Camp Junction to Ring Road 3 in Abuja— the fifth such project launched within a week—Wike emphasized Tinubu’s commitment to addressing Nigeria’s economic and infrastructure challenges.

Wike expressed faith that the president’s initiatives, particularly through the Renewed Hope Initiatives, would bring about significant improvements, including easing hunger across the nation. He encouraged continued prayers for the country and its leadership, assuring Nigerians that steps are in place to extend the benefits of ongoing projects widely.

The minister highlighted the direct and indirect job creation generated through these projects, benefiting hundreds in the FCT. He called on Julius Berger Construction Company to reduce the project’s completion time from 18 months to 14, noting that the FCTA had provided 70 percent of the project funds upfront as an incentive.

“I assure you, by the end of President Tinubu’s administration, Nigerians will find reasons to smile. Issues like hunger and hardship have endured across various administrations, but we are committed to change,” Wike stated.

Representing Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Senate Committee on FCT Chairman Ibrahim Bomai praised the FCTA’s efforts, emphasizing that a robust road network is essential to driving socio-economic development in the region.
