United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has accepted Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s invitation to visit Nigeria later this year.
The invitation was extended during a bilateral meeting on Wednesday, held on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025. Global leaders gathered at the event to discuss pressing issues like climate change, water, and energy crises.
During their discussions, both leaders focused on strengthening economic cooperation and attracting investment to Nigeria. President Tinubu highlighted his government’s economic reforms, which have spurred growth in the country’s economy, and called on the UAE to invest in key sectors.
Sheikh Mohamed expressed appreciation for Tinubu’s participation in the event and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.
The upcoming visit is expected to strengthen the growing partnership between Nigeria and the UAE and explore new opportunities for collaboration in economic development and sustainability.
