Former President Donald Trump appeared on “The Joe Rogan Experience” and used the platform to promote false claims about the 2020 election, criticize his opponent Vice President Kamala Harris, and take shots at his former White House staff.
The episode, released on Friday night, reached Rogan’s extensive podcast audience, which boasts over 15.7 million followers on Spotify. Trump’s interview resulted in a three-hour delay for his planned rally in Michigan later that evening.
With just over a week until the upcoming November election, Trump continued to cast doubt on the integrity of the election results, attacking secure voting practices such as mail-in voting and the use of voting machines. He reiterated his unfounded claims that he was the rightful winner of the 2020 presidential election.
“You had old-fashioned ballot screwing,” Trump claimed during the interview, making baseless accusations about unsigned ballots and “phony votes.”
In response, Rogan drew a comparison between being labeled an election denialist and being labeled an anti-vaxxer, while Trump continued his criticism of mail-in voting, even as he encouraged his supporters to vote using any method they choose.
