The Athletics Integrity Unit has cleared Tobi Amusan, the reigning world champion in the 100m hurdles, to contest in the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Amusan was provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) in July for missing three consecutive doping tests. However, the AIU has now lifted the suspension, clearing Amusan to compete in the World Championships.
Amusan will be representing Nigeria at the World Championships that will be held from August 19-27 in Budapest with other female athletes Rosemary Chukwuma, Ofili Favour, Faith Okwose, Eyakpobeyan Justina, Success Umukoro, Uko Nse Imaobong, Patience George, Ella Onojuvwevwo, Oke Opeyemi, Ruth Usoro, Amaechi Obiageri Pamela, Anumba Ashley, and Onyekwere Chioma.
