Tinubu Appoints DCG Kemi Nandap as Immigration New CG

President Bola Tinubu has granted approval for the appointment of DCG Kemi Nanna Nandap as the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), effective starting March 1, 2024.

This announcement was made via a statement issued by Presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale on Wednesday. DCG Nandap assumes this role following the conclusion of Mrs. Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju’s tenure on February 29, 2024. Before her elevation to the position of Comptroller-General, Nandap served as the Deputy Comptroller-General overseeing the Migration Directorate of the Service. In his statement, Ngelale emphasized President Tinubu’s expectations for the new Comptroller-General to advance the ongoing reforms within the service.

Additionally, the President anticipates that Nandap will establish a robust mechanism to ensure efficient and dedicated service delivery to Nigerians. Furthermore, she is tasked with strengthening the nation’s security by implementing proactive and effective border security measures and enhancing migration management strategies.
