Sharpton to Lead Wall Street March Demanding Economic Justice and Corporate Accountability

Reverend Al Sharpton is set to lead a major demonstration for economic justice Thursday morning in Lower Manhattan, rallying against what organizers call a rollback of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts under the Trump administration.

The march, organized by the National Action Network, will begin at 8 a.m. at the African Burial Ground near Foley Square before proceeding to Wall Street. The demonstration aims to pressure corporate leaders to uphold and expand DEI commitments in the face of political opposition.

In a statement, the group emphasized the urgency of the movement:

“They’ve come for our education, our justice system, and our workplaces. But we’re not standing down—we’re standing up. And we’re standing on the power of our dollars, our presence, and our people.”

The event is expected to draw civil rights advocates, workers, and community leaders united in urging corporate America to resist policies that undermine workplace diversity and social equity.
