Sanwo-Olu Vows to Intensify Efforts for a Better Lagos in 2025

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has pledged to intensify efforts across all sectors to deliver more dividends of democracy to Lagosians, aiming to make the state better and bigger in 2025 and beyond.

Speaking at the 2025 Lagos Annual Thanksgiving Service, themed “Harvest of Thanksgiving,” Sanwo-Olu emphasized his administration’s commitment to tackling challenges with renewed vigor. The event, organized by the governor’s family in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs, marked the 25th edition of the service.

“In Lagos State, we are very mindful of this shared responsibility, and we will redouble our efforts in every sector, setting the pace for the rest of the country,” Sanwo-Olu said. “We are keying into the President’s Renewed Hope agenda and synergizing our efforts to ensure peace, progress, and socio-economic prosperity for the good people of Lagos State.”

The governor acknowledged the challenging times brought on by ongoing reforms but assured residents that the sacrifices being made would yield positive results. He expressed gratitude for divine guidance, noting that Lagos remains safer than ever despite turbulent times.

The thanksgiving event featured ministrations by gospel artists and prayers for the President, the governor, their families, and other stakeholders, including members of the state executive council, legislature, judiciary, civil servants, and residents.
