Fourth Batch Of 306 Nigerians Arrive Abuja
The fourth batch of 306 Nigerians fleeing the Ukrainian war  have arrived Nigeria through  Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

The evacuees landed aboard Air Peace Airline around 12:35 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Nigerian News Agency.

The trapped Nigerians were safely evacuated thanks to the Federal Government’s involvement and the help of governments from Ukraine’s neighboring nations.

Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mustapha Ahmed, welcomed the returnees on behalf of the Federal Government, saying that President Muhammadu Buhari had granted a gift of $100 to each of them.

Ahmed, who was represented by NEMA’s Director of Search and Rescue, Air Commodore Edward Adedokun, said the money would help them go to their various locations.

He said the returnees would be given a one-night accommodation to relax before continuing their journey back to their homes, while those whose relatives had arrived to pick them up would be allowed to return home.

According to NAN, NEMA employees, as well as representatives from other agencies engaged in the airport’s welcoming, were on the ground to receive the returnees.
