Rivers House Of Assembly Engulfed In Fire

The chamber of the Rivers State House of Assembly on Sunday night was set ablaze by suspected arsonist.
This happened amidst rumor that Governor Similanayi Fubara was about to be impeached.
It was also discovered that the fire was averted from engulfing the Assembly complex by the prompt response of the men fire service.
At the time this report was filed, attempts to get in contact with SP Grace Iringe Koko, the public relations officer for the Rivers State Police Command, were unsuccessful.
As firemen fought to contain the fire, security at the site was stepped up.
