On Sunday, Primate Elijah Ayodele, Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, expressed skepticism about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s capacity to resolve the ongoing economic hardships in Nigeria.
In a statement released by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele asserted that the current administration is unlikely to alleviate the difficulties faced by Nigerians over the next four years.
Primate Ayodele urged Nigerians to support the government with their personal resources, suggesting that churches, mosques, and other organizations should unite in their efforts. He criticized President Tinubu’s approach, claiming that unless drastic measures are taken, Nigerians will continue to suffer.
“Tinubu doesn’t have the solution unless we want to deceive ourselves or he is misleading himself. We should instead help the government through our individual resources; churches, mosques, and organizations should come together,” Ayodele stated.
He also highlighted that despite President Tinubu’s repeated addresses, the current administration is unable to resolve the economic challenges. According to Ayodele, Tinubu’s efforts are merely attempts to pacify the public without delivering substantial change.
“The government needs to address its errors and cut costs, including the minimum wage, which will soon become a point of contention. There are numerous issues that the government needs to address, and it is doubtful that Tinubu will be able to resolve them in the next four years,” he added.
Primate Ayodele further emphasized that the sense of collective effort is lacking, with the president seemingly shouldering the burden alone. He concluded that the current state of hardship will persist, urging Nigerians to come together to navigate through these challenging times.
