President Tinubu Returns from State Visit to Qatar


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after a two-day State visit to Qatar, an invitation from the Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
The Nigerian leader’s return follows his departure from the Doha International Airport on Monday morning, with his arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, in the evening.
Tinubu’s arrival at approximately 6:37 pm was met with a reception led by senior government officials, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Ganduje, and Director General of the Department of State Service (DSS) Yusuf Bichi.
During his visit to Qatar, President Tinubu participated in the Nigeria-Qatar Business and Investment Forum in Doha on Sunday.
The forum provided a platform for engaging with investors and exploring opportunities for collaboration between the two nations.
A significant highlight of President Tinubu’s visit was the signing of landmark agreements between Nigeria and Qatar, presided over by Tinubu and His Highness, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.
These agreements encompassed various critical sectors, including education, enterprise development, investment promotion, youth empowerment, mining, tourism, and sports.
Addressing the Qatari business community during the forum, President Tinubu emphasized Nigeria’s vast investment potential, offering promising returns on investment. He assured investors of his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment to position Nigeria as a premier destination for global investment.
President Tinubu’s discussions with investors and officials in Qatar underscored Nigeria’s determination to foster mutually beneficial partnerships and leverage opportunities for economic growth and development.
