The President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari has launched a young farmers scheme titled National Agricultural Land Development Authority ( NALDA)
The President while delivering his speech said NALDA is a very important tool in the drive to achieve food security in Nigeria and a very strong avenue to engage youths into having a gainful employment.
His government according to him is set to do everything possible to ensure that NALDA’s mandate is translated to food security and sufficiency in the country.
I have given all necessary approval that is required for effective take off begining with adequate land for crop farming and livestock rearing he mentioned.
In his closing remark, the president reiterates that Agriculture is the back bone of the economy which contributes largely to her GDP.
