Pope Francis Leads Vigil at Vatican Amid Health Concerns

One day after unexpectedly withdrawing from a scheduled ceremony, Pope Francis engaged in a two-hour vigil at the Vatican on Saturday.

His absence from a Good Friday procession had sparked renewed concerns about his health.

Easter Sunday holds significant importance in the Catholic calendar and is observed by 1.3 billion people worldwide.

At St. Sebastian’s Church in Katuwapitiya, Sri Lanka, a Catholic priest administered Holy Communion to Christian worshippers.

In Nairobi’s Kibera district in Kenya, worshippers of all ages gathered to light candles and celebrate Easter.
