Pop Star Davido Makes History At O2 Arena

Before taking the stage to entertain the massive crowd that had gathered for his sold-out event Saturday night, pop artist Davido promised that he would not only shut down London, but also make “history tonight.”

True to his promises, the famed O2 Arena in London was renamed after the Nigerian pop musician for one night.

The show’s organizers announced the historic event on Allontheboard, saying it was to celebrate the ‘Aye’ crooner’s return to London. He hasn’t been to London in over three years.

“To celebrate the return of Davido back in London with his Champion Sound for one night only.” “The  O2 will become The Davido 2.”

Meanwhile, Davido stormed the event venue in the company of many Nigerian celebrities and musicians including Eniola Badamus,  Cubana Chief Priest, Adekunle Gold, his daughter among others.

Davido performed a duet with Teni The Entertainer titled “Ego Not for You” to the delight of the show’s approximately 20,000 guests. He also shared the stage with Makoyun and Zlatan. When Ckay-yo took the stage to sing his famous song “Love Nwantiti,” the audience erupted in cheers. For those who attended, it was a concert at the O2 Arena that will be remembered for a long time.

Surprisingly, while Davido was in London doing what he does best, Wizkid was in Dubai giving his fans a good time the same night.
