PDP Congratulates Ghana on Election Victory, Predicts APC Defeat in 2027

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated the people of Ghana on the successful victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the December 7 presidential election, calling it a symbol of the triumph of the people’s power over oppressive governance. In a statement issued on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the PDP suggested that Ghana’s election outcome signals that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria will be defeated in the 2027 general elections.

“The victory of the opposition NDC in Ghana is a clear demonstration of the triumph of the people’s power over misrule and oppressive government policies,” the PDP statement read. The party expressed confidence that just as Ghana succeeded in changing its government, Nigerians will do the same in 2027 by ousting the APC, leading the country back to good governance, security, political stability, and economic prosperity under the PDP’s leadership.

The PDP criticized the APC for what it described as the destruction of Nigeria’s economy and social fabric, blaming the ruling party for the mismanagement of the country’s resources. It pointed to the high toll of terrorism, the devaluation of the Naira, inflation, unemployment, and the rising cost of living as consequences of APC governance.

The opposition party also condemned the current administration’s borrowing policies and repressive economic decisions, including the hike in petrol prices, emphasizing that Nigerians are enduring extreme hardship, with millions unable to afford basic necessities.

The PDP urged all government institutions, particularly the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies, to heed the people’s calls and ensure that the will of Nigerians prevails in future elections. The opposition party cautioned against a repeat of alleged electoral manipulations seen in the 2019 and 2023 presidential elections.

In conclusion, the PDP called on Nigerians to remain determined in their pursuit of change and vowed to restore good governance under its platform in 2027.
