Osinbajo Presides Over FEC Meeting

Nigeria Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja in the absence of the President who is currently on a medical trip in London.

The meeting, which was a hybrid edition, was held in the Presidential Villa’s Council Chambers, with some members in person and others joining online.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and the President’s Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, were among the FEC members who physically attended.

Others are the Ministers of Industry, Trade and Investments, Niyi Adebayo; Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Sports and Youth Development, Sunday Dare; and Science and Technology, Adeleke Mamora.

Also, the Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mahmood Abubakar; Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Minister of State for Health, Ekumankama Joseph Nkama; and the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investments, Mariam Katagum attended physically.

During the meeting the council observed a minute’s silence in memory of the late Minister of Aviation, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, after the SGF, Mustapha, officially informed the members of the elder statesman’s death. Amaechi passed away on Monday at the age of 92.
