No Petrol Price Set Amid Market Speculation -Dangote

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has addressed recent reports regarding the projected price of petrol, clarifying that it has not yet fixed a price for its product.
Contrary to claims that oil marketers predicted petrol from the refinery would sell at N600 per litre, Anthony Chiejina, the group chief branding and communications officer of Dangote Group, emphasized that the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) is not currently a business partner with the refinery.
“We have never discussed the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) with them, and they have no mandate or authority to speak for us, either for good or with hidden transcript,” Chiejina stated.
He further urged the public to disregard speculative announcements, stressing that the company communicates official information through its established channels.
This clarification comes at a time of heightened anticipation for petrol supply from the Dangote refinery, which announced on July 15 that it would begin supplying petrol in August.
