The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) have been permitted to return to the Office of the Vice President by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In accordance with their separate establishment Acts, the agencies moved to the VP’s office for supervision.
The Vice President’s office will now have a formal structure, as well as the right number of technical and administrative assistants, who will assist the Vice President in carrying out his duties. These approvals came from the President.
The Office of the Vice President’s Director of Information, Olusola Abiola, announced this in a statement on Tuesday evening.
Recall that former President Muhammadu Buhari had moved NEMA under the supervision of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
