Kwankwaso Vows to Slash APC Votes in Kano to Below 15,000 in 2027 Election

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, former Governor of Kano State, has pledged to significantly reduce the All Progressives Congress (APC) votes in Kano during the 2027 elections.

Kwankwaso made the commitment during a meeting with former councillors, senior special advisers, and stakeholders from Tsanyawa Local Government Area at his residence in Kano. He used the opportunity to outline his vision for the future of the state.

Reflecting on the 2023 elections, Kwankwaso acknowledged his team’s efforts, which saw the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) struggle to secure only 15,000 votes in Kano. Despite the challenges, his party, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), achieved this milestone despite being a new political force with a late campaign launch.

Kwankwaso expressed confidence in his party’s ability to build on that success, stating:
“Now, it’s our turn to diminish APC’s influence. We will work tirelessly to ensure their votes are reduced to less than 15,000 in Kano come 2027.”

He urged his supporters to remain dedicated and focus on grassroots mobilization to strengthen the NNPP’s presence in Kano and expand its influence in future elections.
