The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now print their examination notification slips.
In a statement issued in Abuja, JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, confirmed that the examination will commence on April 16, 2026. He urged candidates to print their slips early to confirm their examination date, venue, and time.
Benjamin advised candidates to visit the board’s official portal and click on “2026 UTME Slip Printing” to access their notification slips. He also encouraged them to familiarise themselves with their assigned centres ahead of the examination to avoid last-minute challenges.
According to him, each candidate has been given a specific schedule and must arrive early at their centres to allow for proper screening and accreditation before the examination begins.
The board further revealed that enhanced security measures have been introduced for the 2026 UTME to curb examination malpractice, warning both candidates and centre operators against any form of misconduct. He stressed that strict sanctions would be imposed on offenders.
Meanwhile, JAMB disclosed that the 2025 policy meeting approved minimum admission scores of 150 for universities, 140 for colleges of nursing, and 100 for polytechnics, monotechnics, colleges of education, colleges of agriculture, and innovation enterprise institutions.
The board also maintained that the minimum age for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session remains 16 years.
