Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun announced the appointment of Oluwatoyin Taiwo as the new chief of staff on Thursday, December 26, 2024. The announcement was made in Abeokuta, the state capital, through a statement issued by his special adviser on media, Kayode Akinmade.

Akinmade revealed that Taiwo had previously served as the governor’s deputy chief of staff before his new appointment.

In the statement, Governor Abiodun congratulated Taiwo, describing the appointment as well-deserved. “Taiwo served as Commissioner for Culture and Tourism during my first term and was later elevated to Deputy Chief of Staff before assuming this new role,” the statement read.

Taiwo is an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he earned a B.Sc. in Statistics, followed by advanced degrees culminating in a Ph.D.
