Erling Haaland Sets Premier League Record As Fastest Player To 50 Goals

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has etched his name in Premier League history, becoming the quickest player to reach 50 goals.
The 23-year-old Norwegian achieved this milestone, November 25, during the match against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland seized the opportunity in the 27th minute, capitalizing on an error by Alisson Becker to give Manchester City the lead. Despite Trent Alexander-Arnold equalizing for Liverpool in the 80th minute, Haaland exited the game with a remarkable record, achieving 50 goals in just 48 league games.
This goal against Liverpool marks his 70th goal in 72 games across all competitions for Manchester City and his 18th goal in 19 games this season. Haaland’s achievement surpasses the previous record held by Andy Cole, who reached 50 goals in 65 matches in the 1990s.
Other notable players who achieved the milestone in less than 73 games include Alan Shearer (66 matches), Ruud van Nistelrooy (68 matches), and both Mo Salah and Fernando Torres (72 matches each).
