Campbell Soup Company to Rebrand as The Campbell’s Company to Reflect Expanding Product Line

Top executives at the 155-year-old Campbell Soup Company have announced plans to rename the iconic firm to The Campbell’s Company. Chief Executive Mark Clouse stated that the change is intended to better represent Campbell’s expanding product portfolio, which now includes sauces, snacks, and beverages in addition to its traditional soups.

Shareholders will vote on the proposed name change at the company’s annual meeting in November. While canned soup remains central to Campbell’s business, the company has been diversifying through acquisitions, such as the recent purchase of Sovos Brands, the maker of Rao’s sauces.

“We will always love soup, and we’ll never take our eye off of this critical business,” Clouse said during the company’s investor day. “But today, we’re so much more than soup.”

In addition to its famous soups, Campbell’s product lineup includes Goldfish crackers, Cape Cod crisps, V8 beverages, and Prego sauces. Clouse noted that Campbell’s only needs its soup sales to remain stable to achieve its financial goals.

Other executives highlighted that soup sales are expected to benefit from an aging population in the U.S., as older adults tend to consume more soup.

Campbell, which was the first company to sell canned soup over a century ago, has a long-standing legacy, including inspiring some of Andy Warhol’s most iconic pop art works. The company projects its net sales to increase by 9% to 11% in its 2025 fiscal year, with Goldfish crackers anticipated to drive growth and potentially become Campbell’s largest brand by 2027.
