President Muhammadu Buhari has relocated to the Glass House from the Presidential Villa, where he previously had his official residence.
This was done prior to President-elect Bola Tinubu’s inauguration.
During transition period, the outgoing president and their spouse have lived in The Glass House.
The Glass House, which offers a symbolic and useful room for the departing president and their spouse, has historically played a significant role in the transfer of power.
Meanwhile, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the President-elect’s wife paid a visit to Aisha Buhari, the First Lady, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Prior to Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, taking office on May 29, Mrs. Tinubu visited the Aso Rock for a familiarisation visit and tour.
It was reported that Mrs. Buhari showed the incoming first lady around certain important areas of the official residence of the Presidential family in Aso Rock. During the tour, several areas of the building were closed off to journalists.
