Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State on Friday inaugurated 10 housing units for teachers in Buratai community, Biu Local Government Area, and a newly constructed secondary school in Tum village. The housing project, consisting of 10 units of two-bedroom semi-detached bungalows, is aimed at addressing the housing needs of teachers, especially at the grassroots level.
During the inauguration, Zulum emphasized that these projects were part of his administration’s efforts to revitalize the education sector and improve the living conditions of teachers. He also reaffirmed his commitment to reducing the housing deficit and enhancing access to quality education and healthcare across the state. “Education is the bedrock of meaningful development,” Zulum said, noting that the government remains dedicated to advancing education and healthcare as critical pillars for sustainable growth in Borno.
