The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence that it has the capacity to remain in power in Nigeria for more than a century under its current leadership structure.
The Yobe State Chairman of the party, Hon. Muhammad Gadaka, made the remark at the Yobe Leadership and Innovation Summit 2026 held in Damaturu, where he said the party remains committed to long-term national transformation.
Represented by the State Party Youth Leader, Hon. Muhammad Musa Gulani, Gadaka said the APC’s vision is to continue governing at the federal, state, and local levels for over 100 years, stressing that more time is needed to fully address Nigeria’s developmental challenges.
“The vision of our party is to improve the lives of Nigerians and make Nigeria a great country. This party will continue to form governments at the federal, state, and local levels for more than 100 years,” he said.
He added that the party is reviewing its performance and strengthening its strategic direction to ensure its policies deliver measurable results, while urging Nigerians to remain confident in its governance agenda.
According to him, the APC is focused on building a united and prosperous Nigeria that works for all citizens, noting that ongoing reforms will eventually produce broad-based benefits.
The convener of the summit, Faruk Abdullahi Chiromari, said the event was organised to highlight the achievements of Governor Mai Mala Buni, particularly his efforts in youth inclusion in governance and public service.
He noted that the administration has consistently appointed young people into key positions such as commissioners, advisers, board members, and local government officials, describing it as a model of inclusive governance in Yobe State.
