In preparation for the African Cup Of Nations final between the Super Eagles and the Elephants of Ivory Coast, President Bola Tinubu has assigned Vice President Kashim Shettima to lead a presidential team to Ivory Coast on Sunday.
A statement by Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, emphasized President Tinubu’s belief that Shettima’s presence demonstrates the government’s unwavering support for the team.
The federal government has urged all Nigerians to unite in support of the Super Eagles, fostering a wave of national pride to propel the team to success.
Recall Vice President Shettima previously represented the President at the semi-finals when the Super Eagles defeated the Bafana Bafana of South Africa. The final will take place at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.
