Abuja-Kaduna Passenger Train Services Resume On Monday

Abuja-Kaduna Passenger Train
The federal government has announced the resumption of the Abuja-Kaduna passenger train service tomorrow, eight months after it was suspended following a terrorist attack on March 28, this year, which killed 11 people, injured and abducted several others.

All intending passengers must present National identification cards before purchasing tickets, according to a statement issued by the corporation’s management.

Only passengers with valid tickets will be allowed into the departure and arrival halls of the railway stations along the Abuja-Kaduna railway corridor, according to the management.

“Purchase of tickets by proxy is only limited to minors and specified number of adults,” the management said.

Online and mobile app ticket purchases will also be available today, prior to the resumption of service tomorrow.

The passenger train service will begin with return services from Abuja to Kaduna at 9.45 a.m., Kubwa (Abuja) to Rigassa (Kaduna) at 10.06 a.m., Idu-Abuja at 3.30 p.m., and Kubwa-Abuja at 3.50 p.m.
