President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his administration will continue to make progress, strengthen security infrastructure, and ultimately overcome terrorism and banditry.
The President gave the assurance on Saturday during the commissioning of major projects in Ogun State, including 80 security vehicles, the Gateway International Airport, two aircraft under Gateway Air, agricultural tractors, and 1,000 electric bikes under the state’s EV mobility initiative.
Tinubu noted that the state government’s focus on mobility, security, and agriculture reflects a shift toward innovation and improved quality of life, adding that enhanced security infrastructure will help protect lives and property.
“I am particularly pleased with the focus on mobility, security, and agriculture… Strengthening security infrastructure reinforces our resolve to protect lives and property. We will overcome violence and terrorism,” he said.
Reaffirming his commitment, the President declared: “We will win over banditry and terrorism… Nigeria is resolved to be great and is on the path to greatness once again.”
He also praised Dapo Abiodun for his leadership, describing the projects as significant achievements within a short period.
“In less than seven years, you have demonstrated commitment, vision, and patriotism to grow Nigeria. We celebrate your contribution to national development,” Tinubu said.
The President added that increased federal allocations are being effectively utilised, while ongoing reforms are restoring investor confidence and repositioning Nigeria globally.
“The Lord is liberating Nigeria from past mismanagement. We are back as a nation, well respected and highly recognized,” he stated.
In his remarks, Governor Abiodun said the projects reflect his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development and economic growth, aligning with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
