Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared that he has robust grassroots structures and loyal supporters capable of fully mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Fubara stated that mobilisation efforts in the state were already about 70 per cent complete, assuring the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of his capacity to deliver widespread backing.
He made the remarks while commissioning the 9.7-kilometre Ogbakiri Road project, highlighting the enthusiasm and support he has received during project inaugurations across the state as evidence of his growing grassroots strength.
The governor called on residents to embrace their political responsibilities following Wednesday’s engagement with the APC national leadership, urging unity in support of President Tinubu.
Describing the Ogbakiri Road as a major achievement, Fubara said the project was initiated during one of the most challenging periods of his tenure. He recalled that the first tranche of funding was released despite a court ruling that had halted the Federal Government from disbursing statutory allocations to Rivers State.
He said the successful completion of the road demonstrated his administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises.
Fubara also pledged to review the cost of extending internal roads in the area and linking the newly commissioned road to Degema through a proposed bridge.
