The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won 20 out of 23 local government areas in Saturday’s Chairmanship and Councillorship elections in Rivers State.

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state secured victory in only three LGAs, according to results declared by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).

RSIEC Chairman, Dr. Michael Odey, announced the results on Sunday afternoon at the commission’s headquarters along Aba Road in Port Harcourt.

Odey also declared winners of the vice chairmanship elections, but results of the councillorship polls were yet to be released at press time.
