Wike Vows Support for Tinubu’s Allies, Flags Off FCT Water Project

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, yesterday pledged to back anyone aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration in delivering dividends of democracy to Nigerians.

Speaking at the flag-off of Lot 2 of Water Supply Projects in Karu, Wike urged residents to support leaders working with the Federal Government’s agenda. He was accompanied by former FCT senator Philip Aduda and the Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Maikalangu.

The minister praised both men for their contributions to FCT development, promising to construct a two-kilometre road in Karu at Aduda’s request. “One thing about government and politics is to support those capable of bringing something to the people. With Aduda’s access to the government, you can see results. Consider the road done,” he assured.

Commending Maikalangu as “very good and hardworking,” Wike noted his role in facilitating key projects such as the Saburi Road, Kabusa–Takushere Road, and Deidei Road. He also pledged full backing for Maikalangu’s re-election bid, regardless of party affiliation.

“This is the only man I know. If he wins as chairman of AMAC, we will give him whatever he wants. I don’t know the party he belongs to, but I know he supports President Tinubu. Anybody who supports Tinubu, I will support him,” Wike declared.

The minister criticized past administrations for neglecting basic needs such as potable water, stressing that the Tinubu government was determined to improve water supply in satellite towns.
