Tinubu: My Commitment to Economic Growth Takes Priority Over the 2027 Election

President Bola Tinubu has made it clear that his focus is on improving Nigeria’s economic future rather than the 2027 general elections. Speaking at the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-West Zonal Assembly in Lagos, Tinubu, represented by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, emphasized his commitment to ensuring economic prosperity for future generations.

The president acknowledged the ongoing hardship in the country but expressed confidence that his tough decisions would eventually yield positive results, stating that “for every moment in a country, a particular leader is produced for that time.”

Tinubu assured the Southwest region, his political base, that their concerns would be given priority in his administration’s efforts to boost Nigeria’s development. Additionally, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other key political figures reaffirmed their support for the president and urged unity within the region for national progress.
