Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) and former governor of Kano State, has expressed confidence that Nigerians will voice their dissatisfaction with the current administration during the 2027 elections. He made this remark while receiving defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the NNPP at his residence on Miller Road, Kano.
The defectors hailed from Dala, Kiru, and Gwale local government areas. Kwankwaso pointed to the hardships faced by Nigerians, especially those in the northern region, under the Tinubu administration as the driving force behind a growing desire for change.
Kwankwaso urged Nigerians to critically evaluate the policies of the current government, expressing faith that they will not be swayed by pressure or intimidation. He added, “The APC-led government has neglected the poor masses, and despite any attempts to manipulate future elections through security agencies or INEC, Nigerians are resolute in their pursuit of change.”
