Buba Galadima, a prominent figure in the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has expressed disappointment in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, accusing some of the president’s appointees of prioritizing personal gains over national service. In an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Galadima emphasized that he expected Tinubu to assemble a team of experts to tackle Nigeria’s pressing challenges.
“I am very much disappointed. I expected him to hit the ground running because we thought he was coming with a team which knows the dots and everything,” Galadima said. He further criticized the president for failing to swiftly address allegations of misconduct among his ministers, stating that some unresolved issues have been lingering for months.
Galadima also accused the federal government of undermining the Kano State government, claiming there has been a lack of cooperation and attempts to interfere with local governance, especially concerning local government elections. Despite the challenges, he expressed gratitude that Kano has been spared from catastrophe, crediting divine intervention for the stability in the state.
