President Tinubu on Thursday has authorized adjustments in the leadership of key sectors related to health, social welfare, and public administration across the Federation.
Under the directive, Prof Moji Adeyeye retains her position as the Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
Furthermore, President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Olajide Idris as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), with his tenure commencing on February 19, 2024.
In a statement issued by the President’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu said that these changes reflect his unwavering commitment to elevating Nigerian public health standards and ensuring the provision of affordable, high-quality care to all citizens.
Additionally, the President has endorsed the appointment and reappointment of various Board Chairpersons and Chief Executive Officers within the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, signaling a broader initiative to enhance governance and service delivery in these critical sectors.
