Onanuga attributes the president’s commitment to alleviating hardship to initiatives like the 50 percent transport fare rebate during the Yuletide season. In a post on X, he expressed that Tinubu is dedicated to preventing Nigerian suffering. The post stated, “President Tinubu is attuned to Nigerians’ concerns, regularly reading newspapers, columns, and distilling public opinion. He consistently acknowledges people’s temporary challenges, remaining open to ideas for improving the situation and providing relief.”“That was the reason behind his decision that the Federal Government bear 50 percent of the transport costs for those going home, by road, for the Yuletide.
