The Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemicals Company Limited’s ongoing quick-fix project would be back on stream by the end of 2024, according to Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil).
This was revealed in a statement that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited posted on its official X handle on Saturday.
In a statement, Lokpobiri said this while evaluating the status of the refinery’s ongoing quick-fix project on Saturday during an inspection tour of Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemicals.
The statement reads, “Lokpobiri said he was confident that the refinery would be re-streamed by the end of 2024, considering the ‘significant level of progress he has witnessed on the tour.
“According to the minister, there is an urgent need to get the refinery back on stream for the country’s economic prosperity and energy security, which are both paths to sustainable development.”
