Denver Nuggets Wins First Ever NBA Title

The Denver Nuggets have won their first NBA championship with a 94-89 victory over the Miami Heat in game five of the NBA finals.

The Denver Nuggets seized the organization’s first-ever title Monday night, thanks to the big performance from Nikola Jokic, who had 28 points and 16 rebounds. The victory saw Denver seal a one-sided NBA Finals series 4-1, and ended their 47-year wait to lift the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy. Jokic also deservedly won the NBA Finals MVP award.

The Serbian All-Star, who was a second-round pick in the 2014 draft, also became the lowest drafted player to win a finals MVP. Denver’s title catapults him into the conversation as one of the all-time great NBA centers. “The job is done, we can go home now,” said Jokić
