Chelsea have agreed a deal to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as their permanent manager, according to Sky Sports.
The 51-year-old returns to the Premier League after being sacked by the Blues’ London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in November 2019. Pochettino who has been out of work since being sacked by Paris Saint-Germain last summer will take over from interim boss Frank Lampard at the end of this season.
He will permanently succeed Graham Potter, who was sacked in April after less than seven months in charge. Despite spending £600m in the last two transfer windows, Chelsea are 11th on the table and will end the season without a trophy. They will also not play in European competition next season.
