Bauchi State governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has said that with the improvement in the electoral process by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the ongoing governorship and state House of Assembly elections, he will accept the outcome of the election.

Speaking with journalists after casting his vote at Bakin Dutse Polling Unit 008, in Yelwan Duguri, Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state, at 11:20 am, the governor, who seeks reelection for a second term on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said that the process so far had not been only peaceful but also an improvement over what obtained during the presidential and National Assembly elections on February 25.

“Everything appears to be peaceful. People are looking so joyous and exhilarated and I feel that this is the kind of situation we need all over the country; people exercising their universal suffrage without any hindrance, acrimony, or conflict. We’re very grateful to God. “I am willing to accept the outcome and we’re willing to do everything, as a state, to make sure that the election is peaceful and the outcome, by the grace of God, is acceptable,” said Governor Mohammed, who was in the company of his wife, Lami.
