Insecurity: “Enough Is Enough”, Kogi Gov. Vows To Protect Lives, Properties

Gov. Yahaya Bello

Yahaya Bello, the governor of Kogi State, has pledged to defend the people’s lives and property, stating that the state government will no longer accept the insurgents causing chaos in the state.

The governor said “enough is enough” and added that “the time for action against the terrorists and other criminals in the state is now” in response to the state’s increasing number of bandits and kidnappers.

The governor who made this known when he received in audience the three APC senatorial district flag bearers for the February election in Lugard’s House Lokoja, maintained that this is not the time to continue with motions on the floor of the National Assembly, but the time for action against insurgents, kidnappers and other forms of criminality in the country.

Governor Bello said, “I will do everything humanly possible to protect the life and property of the citizens of Kogi State.”

The three APC senatorial district candidates were led on the visit by the senator representing Kogi East senatorial district, Senator Jubril Isah Echocho, alongside Karimi Sunday Steve and Engr Abubakar Sadiq Ohere, who came to pay a solidarity visit to the governor over the recent security breach that occurred in Ajaokuta.

Governor Bello assured Kogi residents that more will be done to bring an end to crimes and criminalities that have resurfaced in some parts of the state, especially Ajaokuta LGA.
Mr. Bello said there have been several motions and resolutions in the last seven years that have yielded no fruitful results, lamenting that Nigerians have continued to suffer, killed, and deprived of their daily needs.

The governor lamented the fact that farmers could no longer rest or visit their land. He promised that such an unhealthy condition would never continue and that his administration would do everything in its power to prevent insurgents from inside or outside the country from operating in the State.

Bello pledged to obtain everything for his people. He emphasizes that you cannot deny people their right to conduct lawful business without fear of insecurity.
