Honourable Nasiru Baballe Ila has been appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).
The President’s media aide, Garba Shehu, revealed Ila’s appointment in a statement on Sunday.
Before going into politics, Ila, a graduate of Victory College in Alexandria and West London College in the United Kingdom, was a successful businessman with holdings in haulage, ginning, and tannery.
He was elected to the National Assembly’s lower chamber in 2011 and 2015 to represent Kano’s Tarauni Federal Constituency.
The Chartered Member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), according to the presidential adviser, replaces Umar El-Yakub who has been appointed Minister by the president.
