Buhari Expresses Grief Over The Death Of Former APC Leader Kemi Nelson

The former National Deputy Women’s Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kemi Nelson, passed away. President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his grief over her passing.

Nelson, a distinguished member of Lagos’ Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), passed away early on Sunday morning at the age of 66.

President expressed his condolences to the Lagos government and people, Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate, and the ruling party in a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina.

Buhari described Nelson as a “faithful party member who devoted so much to the evolution, development, sustenance, and relevance of the party in Lagos and around the country”.

He highlighted her accomplishments as the former Executive Director of the Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund, Woman Leader, APC National Deputy Women Leader, and Commissioner for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Lagos (NSITF).

Nelson was a grassroots organizer and achiever, according to Buhari, who left her mark wherever she served. Nelson continues to be a part of the governing system that enabled Lagos State to develop into the Centre of Excellence that it is today, he said.

The President prayed that the almighty God would give Adeyemi Nelson’s husband, family, friends, and associates the strength to endure the loss.
