The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 25 alleged internet fraudsters in Benue State.According to Naija News, the individuals were apprehended in various locations as a result of actionable intelligence acquired by the Commission about their suspected involvement in internet fraud-related operations.
Some of the suspects were apprehended in Otukpo, while others were apprehended in Madkurdi after a sting operation carried out by Makurdi Zonal Command operatives.
The EFCC stated on Twitter, “The suspects have made useful statements and will be arraigned in court as soon as the investigation is concluded.”

Among the items recovered from the accused are several brands of mobile phones and PCs.
The names of the suspects include; ”E. Francis, A. Emmanuel, M. Wakili, C. Francis, I. Emmanuel, J. Williams, P. Idoko, M. Itodo, S. Abah, O. Ameh, O. Samson, O. Amuta, and O. Precious.
Others are O. Solomon, N. Alex, O. Emmanuel, E. Godwin, O. Ochigbo, E. Chukwu, W. Godwin, Y. Elijah, V. Godwin, L. Owoicho, A. Augustine, and O. Moses.”
