Lyon Beat Barcelona To Win The Women’s Champions League

The French powerhouse has reclaimed continental supremacy after registering a commanding victory over the Blaugrana. This victory means the French team has emerged as European champions for a record eighth time.
The match was all to play for the Blaugrana who were hoping to win the trophy in addition to the title they won in La Liga with a stunning record.
This hope was tarnished when  Lyon took the lead in the first half through the goals from Amandine Henry, Ada Hegerberg, and Catarina Macario to put the French side on course for a comfortable victory in Turin. Before Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas struck for Barcelona shortly before the break, but Lyon held the Blaugrana at bay for the remainder of the match the ended 3 goals to 1 in favour of the French team
