Soludo’s Ban On Touting, Illegal Revenue Collection To Be Enforced By The Police

Gov. Soludo

Echeng Echeng, the Commissioner of Police for Anambra State, has issued directives to heads of tactical units, divisional police officers, and heads of departments across the Command to strictly enforce the state government’s prohibition on touting and unlawful income extraction.

Prof Chukwuma Soludo, the governor, ordered a ban on touting and illegal revenue collecting in his inauguration address on Thursday.

Echeng instructed officers and soldiers of the Command to ensure complete compliance with the order, particularly at automobile parks and other specified areas, in a statement issued in Awka on Sunday.

Soludo’s ban on touting and unlawful income collecting will be enforced by the police.

The CP also issued a warning to anyone engaged in touting and other illegal activities, stating that police and other security forces had been deployed across the state to arrest and prosecute anybody who disobeyed the order.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to crime prevention and law and order restoration and urged Anambra indigenes and all state residents to be vigilant and security conscious at all times.
