Dr. Rabe Nasir, the Katsina State Commissioner of Science and Technology, has been assassinated.
He was assassinated in his home in Fatima Shema Estate Katsina, according to reports.
He was assassinated on Wednesday, according to one source, while his assassins attacked on Thursday, according to another.
“Late Nasir was shot after Asr prayer at his residence here in Fatima Shema Estate,” a friend of the deceased claimed.
“In his sitting room, he was stabbed in the stomach, and his corpse was dragged into a closed toilet.”
Before being named a commissioner, he was the Special Advisor on Science and Technology to Governor Aminu Masari.
The deceased was born in Mani, Katsina’s Mani local government area
