Recall how, just before his 29th birthday, the award-winning musician raised N201 million by posting his account information on social media and asking industry friends and colleagues to donate. He then added N50 million to the pool and stated that the money will be donated to orphans across the country.

Ademola Adebise, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Wema Bank, praised Davido’s artistry, including his body of work and charity, saying that it takes a true altruist to accomplish what he did by giving away all the donations, during a ceremony at the company’s headquarters.
