In the lead-up to the 2024 election, former President Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee have shifted to a more assertive legal strategy following their failed attempts to overturn the 2020 election results.
Mike Davis, a lawyer and Trump ally rumored for a potential role in a future Trump administration, said, “Trump learned his lesson from 2020, and he has a really good legal team at the campaign and the RNC. We are so much better prepared.”
Earlier this year, Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee launched what they called a “historic” election integrity initiative. The program aims to deploy 100,000 volunteers and attorneys in key battleground states and implement a proactive legal strategy.
A Republican National Committee official reported that the program has been involved in over 130 election-related lawsuits across 26 states in recent months. Additionally, they have recruited approximately 5,000 volunteer attorneys ready to be mobilized on Election Day.
